Men & Waxing

I wouldn't wish this on any man, not even my enemy.

San Jose Door Paintings

There are a lot of construction doors in San Jose, California. That's right, San Jose seems to be building onto the future. So instead of just having boring looking doorways companies have decided to offer a place for art.

Different artists from local Colleges and High Schools are allowed to paint a painting or Mural on the door way just like the one seen to your right. A lot of the current "San Jose Doors" can be seen near the entrance of The Fairmont Hotel in Downtown San Jose.

I think this is a great idea and I hope that San Jose and the local companies offer additional opportunities to show off peoples artwork. I first saw artwork like this spring up in 2003 and have loved it ever since.

If your in the San Jose area and what to keep abreast of the artwork provided for free viewing. Check out http://www.sjdowntown.com/downtowndoors/index.html The painting done here is by Madison Treece of Oak Grove High School

Dreams Of Baracuda

Dreams are the strangest things to me in this world. They can be happy and exciting or they can be really, really scary. I'm one of those people that has dreams that are in HD quality color and high definition sound.

Many say that dreams are an insight to the soul and others say they are just synapses firing off in the brain as the body relaxes and repairs itself at night. What you dream is up to you and all I can do is share my experience.

Last night I was dreaming about scuba diving and a mean Barracuda. No, I'm not talking about a 1972 Plymouth either, though I wish I was.

I have no idea what I was doing at the beginning of the dream but I decided to go snorkling or scuba diving. As soon as I put my face in the water, I saw the mean Baracuda and had second thoughts about jumping into the water.

I did jump into the water though and here comes the Barracuda with his mouth wide open to put the chomp on whatever body part the fish could sink his razor sharp teeth into. I smacked at the fish to leave me alone and woke up before I could find out if I was bitten or not.

to swim in the ocean signifies that you will soon be enlarging your sphere of influence and/or activity. So perhaps I was swimming in someone else's territory and they were just protecting it.

Or perhaps the Barracuda just wanted to follow me because in the natural they are scavengers.

Wikipedia comments that the theory is that Barracudas sometimes think that snorklers are large preditors, and if the large preditor stirs up fish and kills them, then the Barracuda can get fish to eat too. So does this mean that someone is looking for a free lunch?

I'll just have to wait and see.

Scammers

It just goes to show that you have to watch out for everything on the Internet. My Husband and I are currently selling our 1990 Toyota Cressida. We get a really cool offer from the highest bidder, to find the guy is in Canada and wants to pay us via Cashier Check.

We return an email saying that it has to be via paypal or cash. This guy then goes into this deal that he will send us a Cashier Check for $6300, we would have to cash it, send a money order to his shipper and then contact his ship person.

Sounds like a total scam to me.

Questions

1. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
BBQ Fish - Not only is it healthy but it's yummy

2. What's the most nerve-racking "close call" you've ever had?
I was driving home late at night after a long trip to San Francisco, I was in deep fog and my car started to swerve as I tried to slow down in the fog. I thought I was going to crash into another car or go over the edge. My Guardian Angel kept me safe though.

3. Name five features your ultimate dream house would have.
Gourmet kitchen because both my husband and I love to cook. A swimming pool so that I can do my laps every morning and afternoon. Large amount of land behind us so that I can build apartments for homeless and animal shelter. A fireplace because I've always loved fireplaces.

4. Who has been the most influential non-relative in your life? I can't answer this question because we are all relatives. Adam and Eve were our great, great, great x thousands grandmother and grandfather. I would have to say Pastor Elaine Robinson of Agape Love Fellowship. She and her daughter taught me a lot about being a child of God.

5. What one non-physical feature would you most like to change about yourself? I'd like to be able to read and comprehend literature faster than I do now.

Darn Historians

Today I'm having trouble with my faith, yesterday I came across a website that gave the history of religion. It says that 1000+ years before the common era Judaism and Hinduism was formed. If Judaism was formed in the far east and Hinduism was formed in India, it makes me wonder what was the rest of the world doing?

http://www.sacred-texts.com/time/origtime.htm

Is everyone's ancestor Adam and Eve? It's really hard to tell because family history and beliefs were passed down by word of mouth or through pictures. Historians say that Christianity wasn't brought to Ireland till nearly after 570 years after Jesus Christ died.

So do I practice what my ancestors practice for nearly six hundred years before St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland or do I not.

This is a serious question for me because I don't know how my family would react to it. Most of my family is raised Roman Catholic and Christian. Any belief practiced other than Christianity will send me to hell in their eyes.

I just don't know.....

Death To The Potato Chip

At times I don't think my husband wants me to lose weight. He does these crazy things that just make me think "No, he doesn't want me to lose weight." Maybe he's testing my control over the potato chip and soda bottle.

So last night I asked him to bring home some soda and a small bag of potato chips. Mike knows that I'm trying to eat healthy, so I thought he would bring home a bag of sun chips and a small soda. Instead, Mike brings home two bags of Lay's and two large bottles of soda. Here we start the Potato chip chow down.

I know they are not healthy for me. I know that the chips are not good for me. I know that the chips will not provide any vitamins or minerals to my body. Like an idiot though, I sit down and eat the whole bag.

So I say "Death To The Potato Chip!"
